Running across one of my fav motivators and authors Heather Lindsey IG page I noticed this ‘Oil Pulling’ topic she posted.  Never once heard about it but since I’m all about exploring healthy alternatives and living, I figured I’d do some investigation.  Well after reading up on it, I was pleasantly surprised at the benefits.

I always say back in the days before our lives were inundated with all these toxic alternatives clearly they were using and doing something that was working for them, naturally! Well here’s perhaps one of the answers….

Oil Pulling is an ancient remedy for oral health and detoxification.  Studies have shown the efficacy of oil pulling which pulls out toxins from the body as well as stops bacteria from sticking to the walls of the oral cavity. Oil Pulling is a simple practice which is done by taking a tablespoon of unrefined coconut oil and swishing it around in the mouth anywhere from 10-20 minutes.  Don’t gargle!  Coconut oil is best because of the antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.  Afterwards spit into trash (because you don’t want oils to clog your toilet and sink). Rinse your mouth thoroughly with clean water and done!

    • Lol yes indeed. Start with maybe 5mins and work your way to 10 and so on.

    • You can find pure virgin coconut oil at your local health food store.
